There’s nothing better than combining cozy coffee shop vibes with adorable critters, and this card was so much fun to create!
For this design, I paired the sweet Newton’s Mug stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs with patterned papers from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad to create a warm and cheerful café-inspired card.
I’m also playing along with Newton’s Nook Inky Paws Challenge #252 and followed the current Inky Paws sketch, which made layering all the patterned papers and focal elements especially fun!
To start, I selected several patterns from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad and layered them together following the sketch design. The mix of patterns creates a cozy coffeehouse feel while adding texture and visual interest to the card.
Next, I stamped and colored Newton from the Newton’s Mug stamp set, placing him inside the mug as the main focal point of the design. The layered patterned papers help frame the image and bring the sketch layout to life.
To assemble the card, I used Tape Runner adhesive to securely adhere all of the layers and elements into place. It made putting together the layered design quick and easy while keeping everything neat and secure.
I love how this card combines playful character images with warm café-inspired patterns for a cozy finished design. Following the Inky Paws sketch made the layout come together easily while still allowing plenty of room for layering and fun details.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and don’t forget to check out Newton’s Nook Inky Paws Challenge #252 for even more inspiration!
