A Fun & Simple Birthday Card Using Tape Runner Adhesive

Today I’m sharing a fun and simple card featuring this adorable little piggy from the Birthday Farm Animals stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. This design was all about letting the image shine while keeping the assembly quick, easy, and stress-free with Tape Runner adhesive.

Finished card.

Everything required to create this card.

I started by stamping the images and coloring them with Copic markers, then used my Scan N Cut to cut everything out—one of my favorite time-saving steps!

For the background, I trimmed a piece of colorful polka dot pattern paper to 3.75 x 5 inches and adhered it slightly below center onto a white cardstock panel. That panel was then layered onto a bright orange mat, adding a pop of color and helping frame the design beautifully.

Next, I die cut a stitched circle from white cardstock and placed it centered above the patterned paper, allowing the polka dots to peek out from the bottom. The sweet piggy was added right to the center of the circle, instantly becoming the star of the card.

To finish things off, I stamped the sentiments on white cardstock with black ink. The main sentiment was placed at the top center, and I added two small “Oink Oink” sentiments for a whimsical, playful touch that perfectly fits the theme.

The best part? Everything on this card was adhered using Tape Runner adhesive, making the entire process quick, easy, and stress-free from start to finish. It’s perfect for projects like this where clean layers and fast assembly really matter.

Thanks so much for stopping by—I hope this card brings a smile to your day!

  1. This is an adorable card, Carrianne! You’ve done a great job coloring that cute little critter in, and I love how you’ve created such a great focal point with the patterned paper. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday. We always appreciate you!
