You've Got Mail

Hi friends! Today, I’m excited to share a card inspired by the classic movie You’ve Got Mail for the Themed Fridays Instagram Hop! This is a bi-weekly hop where we pick a theme to inspire our creativity, and each participant designs something unique based on that theme. It's always so much fun to see the different interpretations!

I’m sharing a card today inspired by one of my all-time favorite movies, You’ve Got Mail, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan! 💌 My card features the adorable Sending Mail Marci Rubber Stamp from @lalalandcrafts, along with the Countryside Paper Pack, Mailbox and Post from the December KOTM. Such a perfect combo for this theme!

I began by stamping Sending Mail Marci onto white cardstock and coloring her with Copic Markers to bring her to life. After that, I used my Scan N Cut machine to carefully cut her out. For the background, I selected a lovely country view patterned paper, trimmed it down, and adhered it to a white card base to set the scene.

Next, I grabbed another panel of white cardstock and dabbed some Distress Oxide Ink in Vintage Photo onto my Kraft sheet. I spritzed it with a bit of water and used my brayer to smoothly apply it to the cardstock, creating a soft, vintage background. Once the ink dried, I die-cut the mailbox and post from this inked cardstock to give them a rustic, weathered look that perfectly complements the theme.

I assembled the mailbox and post, adhering them to the panel with liquid adhesive, and popped Marci up on foam tape for added dimension. The sentiment was stamped in black ink onto white cardstock and die-cut using the Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die from La-La Land Crafts.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day filled with creativity and joy!
