Hey there, friends! I’m absolutely thrilled to share two stunning cards with you today, both created using a vibrant, rainbow-inspired theme. And the star of the show? The amazing Altenew Zero Waste Leaf Pattern Die! What makes this die so special is that you get TWO beautiful cards from just one die. By using both the positive die cuts and the negative piece, you can create a stunning backdrop, making the most out of every single part of your die cut. I can’t wait for you to see how it all came together. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with this die just like I did!
Next, I positioned the Zero Waste Leaf Pattern Die on the rainbow panel and ran it through my die cut machine. The results were amazing! I got the detailed leaf die cuts, and the negative piece turned into a gorgeous backdrop, perfect for making another card.
I was focused on the positive die cuts for the first card, carefully arranging them into a vibrant, colorful floral composition in the center of a white panel, trimmed to 4 x 5 1/4. The bold sentiment, from the Classic Greetings, was stamped in black ink and then die-cut with the coordinating die for a crisp, professional finish.
Although I hadn’t planned on making two cards, the gorgeous backdrop inspired me to create another one!
For the second card, I wanted to keep the focus on the stunning backdrop, so I adhered the panel to a white card base to let the design shine. The sentiment, from the Timeless Sentiments Die Complete Bundle, was cut twice, once from black cardstock and again from foam, then layered together to create depth and dimension. The sub-sentiment, from Midnight Moths, was stamped in black ink on white cardstock and die-cut with a sentiment strip die. Both elements were then added to the panel with foam tape, giving just the right amount of dimension without detracting from the vibrant background.
I'm really happy with how these cards turned out—they came together so effortlessly, and I’m thrilled with the final result!
I hope this project has sparked some inspiration for you, and that you'll explore the many options within the Zero Waste Die Sets. There’s such a wide variety to choose from, and I’m sure you’ll find something you love!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day filled with creativity and joy!
