Hang in There

Hi friends! I’m excited to share my card as part of the Wacky Holidays Hop for March on Instagram! This fun hop celebrates those quirky, overlooked holidays throughout the year, giving them the love they deserve!

šŸ¼ National Panda Day on March 16 celebrates the beloved panda, one of the world’s most endangered species. It’s a reminder of the ongoing global efforts to protect and restore their habitats.

šŸ¼ Fun Fact: Pandas have a 'pseudo-thumb'—an extended wrist bone that helps them grip bamboo and other objects more easily while eating.

My card features the Playful Pandas set from Pawsome Stamps, which is no longer in business. I wanted to give some extra love to this adorable set and the talented company behind it, celebrating the joy they brought to the crafting community.

I stamped the adorable panda images onto Neenah Solar White #80 cardstock, colored them with Copic Markers, and used my Scan N Cut machine to carefully cut them out.

For the background, I cut a panel of green cardstock to 3 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches. I then placed the Shadows of Leaves Stencil from Picket Fence Studios on top and blended Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn to create a vibrant, jungle-inspired backdrop that perfectly complements the playful pandas.

Next, I took another piece of Neenah cardstock and trimmed it down to 3 x 8 inches. Using a stitched circle die, I die-cut three medium circles and added two smaller circles to the panel, carefully placing them where I wanted to position my colored images. I then adhered this panel to the stenciled background using foam tape to add some dimension. Finally, I attached the entire piece to a white card base for a clean, finished look.

I then adhered the images onto foam tape to give them some extra dimension. I carefully positioned the small leaves into the smaller circles, filling in the design and adding to the jungle theme. To finish the card, I scattered some green sequins around the panel, giving it a pop of sparkle and completing the vibrant look.

Thank you for stopping by—hope you have a beary awesome day full of smiles and creativity!
