There’s something about a glass of fresh lemonade on a warm day that just feels like pure happiness—sweet, refreshing, and full of simple joy. When I saw that May 4th is National Lemonade Day, I couldn’t resist creating a card inspired by that cheerful, easygoing vibe.
Today I’m sharing a playful card that captures a soft, sunny moment using the Squeeze the Day stamp set from My Favorite Things.
To start, I created a soft background using light ink blending, keeping the colors gentle and airy to reflect that fresh lemonade feel. I added a wonky frame die from Whimsy Stamps, cut to give the panel a bit of movement and interest without taking away from the scene.
For the bottom, I added a grassy border from La-La Land Crafts with subtle blending along the top edge to ground the design and create a little setting for the images.
The stamped images were colored with Copic markers, keeping the tones light and cohesive for a soft, cheerful look. I then popped them up with foam tape to add dimension and bring the scene to life.
Once everything was in place, I added the sentiment. It was stamped on white cardstock in Versafine Black ink, trimmed with a rectangle die, and popped up with thin foam tape for just a bit of dimension.
National Lemonade Day, celebrated on May 4th, is all about enjoying this classic refreshing drink—and for many, it’s also a nod to childhood memories of lemonade stands and sunny days.
Do you have a favorite warm-weather treat or memory that always makes you smile? I’d love to hear—let me know in the comments!
