Hi friends! In honor of National Mother Goose Day, celebrated on May 1st each year, I created this playful mini slimline card using Brutus Monroe goodies, including the Love Notes Paper Pad and the Love Goose stamp set from the January Subscription box!
National Mother Goose Day celebrates the beloved tradition of nursery rhymes and storytelling inspired by Mother Goose. These timeless tales have been passed down through generations, filled with whimsical characters, gentle humor, and nostalgic charm—making it such a fun theme to build a creative project around.
For the focal panel, I die-cut a heart and peekaboo windows from white cardstock and popped it up with thin foam tape for just a little lift — I love how a tiny bit of dimension can make such a big difference! To add a little extra sparkle and magic, I layered a sparkle overlay behind the panel so it shines through the heart and windows, catching the light in the most fun way.
The geese are my favorite part — I stamped, fussy cut, and popped them up over the windows, with the female goose taking center stage and the male geese positioned for balance and playful charm. I love how popping them over the openings adds depth and makes the scene feel alive.
To finish it off, I added the sentiment, “All My Love to My Favorite Goose,” stamped directly on the panel. It all comes together to create a card that’s full of fun, sparkle, dimension, and personality — and I can’t wait to send it to someone special!
