The Paper Funday Challenges - November DT Card

It’s time for a new month of inspiration at The Paper Funday Challenges! This month we’re thrilled to be sponsored by Altenew and Picket Fence Studios. The theme is Anything Goes and for a little extra fun, try the optional twist: Merry & BrightJoin in, share your creations, and spread some festive cheer!

There’s something magical about this time of year—the air turns crisp, cozy sweaters come out, and the first whispers of holiday cheer begin to fill the days. I found myself craving something sweet—not just in flavor, but in creativity—so I turned to a little crafty indulgence to spark some holiday cheer.

I couldn’t resist the Picket Fence Studios Sweet Holiday Stamp and Sweet Holiday Coordinating Die. This cheerful cupcake, sprinkled with snowflakes, candy canes, and poinsettias, captured all the warmth and sparkle of the season.

I colored the image with bright, cheerful Copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die for a clean finish. To keep the design clean and simple. I added a strip of festive patterned paper (trimmed to 2" x 4") to the center of my panel and die cut it with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die for subtle texture and dimension.

The panel was layered onto a red mat and then adhered to a white card base. The sentiment, from the Picket Fence Studios Candy Cane Christmas set, was the perfect finishing touch.

With bright colors, festive patterns, and a joyful sentiment, this card fits perfectly with the optional twist “Merry & Bright” — a simple, sweet celebration of holiday warmth and cheer.

I hope my project sparks some inspiration for your own festive creations this month! Be sure to visit the blog for more beautiful ideas from the Design Team — we can’t wait to see what you’ll make!

Happy crafting!
