Hello friends! Today, I’m excited to share a card inspired by the Altenew February Inspiration Challenge. I used the beautiful Poppy Arrangement Stamp & Die Bundle and Mosaic Diamonds Stamp Set from Altenew to create this design, and I thoroughly enjoyed putting it together!
I started with a panel of white cardstock, placed it on my Stampwheel, and stamped the images in black ink. Next, I used the coordinating layering stencils to color them in with Fresh Dye Inks in Sweet Dreams and Delectable Delights. Once the coloring was done, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out, giving them a crisp and polished look.
For the background, I took a panel of watercolor cardstock and stamped the Mosaic Diamonds Stamp Set, inking it up with Delectable Delights. I then spritzed it with water and gently pressed it onto the panel, allowing the ink to transfer and create a soft textured watercolor effect. To enhance the texture, I added splatters using milk chocolate and Topaz from the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set, giving the background a beautiful shimmer and depth.
I trimmed the panel to 4 x 5 1/4 inches and cut another panel slightly smaller. I adhered them together with liquid adhesive to give a little added lift, then attached the assembled background to a white card base.
I then adhered the images using foam tape to create a layered 3D effect. The sentiment was heat embossed on brown cardstock with white embossing powder and also popped up with foam tape, adding even more dimension to the design.
To finish the card, I added soft brown sequins for a touch of sparkle and to complement the overall design.
