Hi friends! I’m sharing a card to enter into the February 2025 Lunar New Year Challenge.
This Lunar New Year card showcases the beauty of the Altenew Peony Bouquet stamped in shades of rich red using the layering stamps, symbolizing prosperity and happiness for the year ahead. The flowers are colored in deep red hues using Altenew Fresh Dye inks in Red Sunset for the petals and Green Fields for the leaves, adding vibrant depth and dimension to the design.
With its rich reds, luxurious gold details, and intricate design, this card is the perfect way to celebrate the Lunar New Year, wishing everyone a year filled with joy, health, and prosperity.
The card's background features the Pinkfresh Studio Diagonal Stripes with Window Die, which I’ve cut from gold metallic cardstock and layered over a bold red cardstock base. The intricate die design reveals glimpses of the red cardstock beneath, creating texture and contrast.
The sentiment is from My Favorite Things, Champagne Sentiments and is heat-embossed in gold, tying in perfectly with the metallic accents and adding an elegant finishing touch.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I truly hope you enjoyed my take on this Lunar New Year card. It was so much fun creating it, and I’m excited to share the festive spirit with you. Wishing you joy, health, and prosperity in the year ahead!
