Happy Labor Day, everyone!! I can't believe it's September. A new month brings a new challenge for us at Colorful Options. Our theme for September is as always Anything Goes, as you may use any color of your choice as long as it's bright and striking.
I decided to play with my alcohol inks and make a clean and simple card for you today. I don't play with alcohol inks too often, but I do enjoy the result when I do. If you're new to using alcohol inks, it's best to work in a place with good airflow because the fumes can be strong.
I began by inking a panel of Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper with Ranger Sailboat Blue and Purple Twilight. I used the Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Air Blower to move the ink around to create the focal point on my card.
I then trimmed the panel and set it aside. I used the Stitched Rectangle Frames Die-namics from My Favorite Things and cut it twice, then glued them together for added dimension. I then adhered it to the inked panel. I then attached it to a white A2 card base. The Sizzix leaf was die-cut on heavy white cardstock and glued to the inside of the window area.
The card was completed with a sentiment from the Beautiful Day stamp set by Altenew. I stamped it directly onto the card base using Versafine black ink.
Thanks for dropping in with me today. Have a fantastic day!
