Sweetest Birthday Wishes

Happy September, everyone. It's a new month, so it's time for a new Wacky & Obscure Holidays Card Hop on Instagram where we give some love to the other and often overlooked holidays throughout the year.

I have selected National Ice Cream Cone Day, which is celebrated annually on September 22. There are many types of cones now, like waffle cones and pretzel cones. But I prefer the sugar cone because it's what I grew up with. You can celebrate the day with a friend by visiting your local ice cream parlor and picking up a cone with your favorite flavor. 

I created a sweet and simple birthday card that features the Pink and Main Sweet Birthday stamp set.

I began by stamping the images and then coloring them with Copic markers. I then fussy cut them out, but there are matching dies available. I used Stampin' Up! Artisan Texture and inked it with Distress Oxide, Salty Ocean, and Spun Sugar for the background. 

I die cut the panel using My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics. I adhered the panel to a white card base and then added my images with glue and foam tape. The sentiment was stamped on pink cardstock, cut out with a stitched sentiment strip, and popped on foam strips.  To complete the card, I added pink sequins.
