The day we've all been waiting for is finally here! The Rabbit Hole Designs Caffeinated Critter Limited Edition is in the shop, and it’s overflowing with the most charming little critters—each one in desperate need of their caffeine boost! Grab yours and get ready to meet these coffee-loving cuties!
I began by stamping the image onto alcohol-friendly white cardstock, then colored him in with Copic Markers to bring out all his grumpy charm. Once he was all colored in, I used the coordinating dies to perfectly cut him out and get him ready for his big debut!
For the background, I began with a panel of soft seafoam cardstock and blended Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers along the bottom to create a vibrant gradient. To add texture and dimension, I cut a piece of bubble wrap from an envelope, spritzed it with water, and pressed it onto the inked panel. The result was a fun, bubbly effect that added a playful, underwater feel to the scene, perfectly setting the stage for my grumpy octopus!
Once my background was set, I adhered the panel to a dark teal A2 card base, which really made the seafoam and Peacock Feathers pop! I then popped the grumpy octopus image up on foam tape for added dimension, making sure he stood out as the star of the show.
For the sentiment, I chose one from The Rabbit Hole Designs Sentiment Sheets, available in both white and black strips, and it was the perfect match for the coffee-loving theme of my card. I adhered it directly to the panel with liquid adhesive for a smooth finish. To add the perfect final touch, I scattered a few dew drop embellishments around the scene, giving the card just the right amount of sparkle and texture to tie it all together!
Thanks a latte for stopping by! I hope this caffeinated critter gave you a little jolt of joy!
