I Have a Dream (In Honor of MLK)

Today, I’m sharing a card to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and his dream of a world united in peace and equality.

My card features the MLK I Have a Dream Digital Stamp, generously provided for free by Stamp Anniething to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 17th.

I began by printing the image, which reflects the powerful message of Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream, and then colored it with Copic Markers. Afterward, I used my Scan N Cut machine to cut it out, ready to bring the image to life.

Next, I blended yellow and orange ink over the Burst of Sun Stencil from Picket Fence Studios onto a white panel. The warm, glowing colors represent hope, optimism, and the bright future that MLK dreamed of for all people.

I then used the Simon Says Stamp Hats Off Grad, which I stamped, colored, and die-cut. I adhered it to the bottom of the panel with foam tape, symbolizing the unity and strength that arise when we stand together for justice and equality.

To enhance the theme of hope, I die-cut a stitched circle to represent the sun, placing it on the card as a reminder of the light that continues to shine on Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision. Finally, I popped the image onto foam tape for added dimension, creating a sense of movement and vitality, just as his legacy continues to inspire positive change.

Thank you for stopping by. Wishing you all peace, love, and hope.
