Monsters, Chaos, and Mischief, Oh My!

Hi crafty friends! Today, I am sharing a spooky and fun Halloween card that features adorable costumed critters from the Spook Ya Later Alligator Stamp Set by LDRS Creative, who are seeking treats and thrills.

I began with Neenah Solar White #110 and cut it with the Slimline Scalloped Die Set from LDRS Creative. To make the moon, I used a circle die on a post-it note and stuck it to the panel. I then blended Distress Oxide inks with Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Black Soot to cover the entire panel and scalloped frame. I added some texture to the panel with water and black ink. I also applied gold shimmer to the panel to add some sparkle.

The images were stamped on Neenah #80 and then colored with Copic markers. I cut them out and adhered them to the panel with foam tape for dimension.

The sentiments are from Lawn Fawn and were heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock. The sentiments were adhered directly to the panel with liquid glue.

  4. Carrie, what a super fun Halloween card! I love how you created the blended background, then spattered it with black ink - very effective!! For the life of me I couldn't find the moon you mentioned in your description... is it inside the card? Just curious :-) Thank you for sharing your creative talents and fun card with us at Double Trouble!!! -Donna

    1. Hi Donna and thank you for your sweet comment. The moon was created with a stitched circle on a post-it note and then I blended ink over it so the moon is the glowing yellow ink in the upper left hand corner. I hope that helps.
