Costume Pumpkins Halloween Card

Hi there, crafty friends! It is time for the October Colorful Options Challenge. This month's color theme is orange, but if you're not as excited as I am, then you could use the rainbow option.

Today's spooky, sweet Halloween card features two products from companies that have closed their stores, but that doesn't stop me from having fun with them.

I love pumpkins, but I especially love them dressed up in their costumes. The pumpkin mummy is my absolute favorite. Which one is your favorite?

The images from Pawsome Stamps, Costume Pumpkins, were stamped and then colored with Copic markers. The images were cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.

Next, I blended some Distress Oxide inks onto a panel to create a fun background. I die-cut the Heffy Doodle Metric Storyboard Backdrop Die onto black cardstock and adhered it to the background panel. This was then adhered to a black card base.

After using my anti-static tool, the sentiment was heat embossed with black embossing powder. I assembled the images onto the panel and added orange sequins to complete the card.

Happy Halloween

Hey, crafty friends! Carrianne here, sharing with you a wicked fun Halloween card featuring the Jack of All Faces Stamp Set.

I began with a panel of orange cardstock, and then used the Beam of Light 4x8 Stencil and ink blended with Distress Oxide Wilted Violet using the Cottontail Blending Brush to create this wicked design. Next, I cut it using the You've Been Framed Layering Dies and adhered it to a purple A2 card base.

I then stamped the pumpkins, colored them with alcohol markers, and then cut them out using my Scan N Cut machine. I popped the pumpkins up with foam strips for dimension. I felt that it needed something more, so I decided to use another set from The Rabbit Hole Designs, the Spooky Sightings Stamp Set. Two of the spiders from this set were stamped and colored, then cut out. The spiders were adhered to the panel with glue.

The sentiment is from the same set. I prepared a piece of black cardstock using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool, then inked the sentiment with Versamark ink. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder and trimmed then popped up with foam strips for additional dimension. The card was completed with a few purple sequins for added interest and sparkle.

Happy Halloween (Floral Arrangement)

Happy Fri-Yay, friends! I'm sharing more Halloween inspiration with this stunning floral arrangement featuring the Spooky Sightings Stamp Set from The Rabbit Hole Designs.

I began by stamping the floral image several times on heavy white cardstock. I then colored it using Copic markers. To add more interest, I blended Weathered Wood Distress Oxide ink to the edges of the panel using my Cottontail Blending Brushes and some splatter in various colors.

The sentiment is from Jack of All Faces, from The Rabbit Hole Designs latest release. I used the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool and then stamped it with Versamark ink onto black cardstock. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and then trimmed it. I popped it up on foam tape for dimension. The card was completed with black sequins.

A Place to Start - AG Sept.

Have a Sweet Christmas

Hello crafty friends. Happy Fri-Yay!!

My card was inspired by Theme Friday's Card Making Fun Hop on Instagram. This week, the theme was Bring on the Bevies—coffee, tea, cocktails, etc., but I chose Hot Cocoa.

I finally got to play with the Pixi Dust Designs - Gingerbread ManGirl Mug Die Set. This set is both adorable and incredibly easy to create with.

I began to cut all the pieces out in assorted colors with the coordinating dies. I used red glitter cardstock for the bow and icing because a little sparkle goes a long way.

Next, I searched through my paper stash and found the Stampin' Up! Gingerbread & Peppermint designer paper, which was perfect. The pattern paper was adhered to a red A2 card base with liquid glue.

I then assembled my mug and all of its parts, including the eyes, nose, lip, bow, icing, and whipped cream. I cut out some snowflakes from shiny shimmer cardstock and adhered them with foam dots.

The sentiment is from C.C. Designs, Mrs. Claus Swissie. I stamped it with Versamark ink on black cardstock, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and trimmed. I then adhered it with liquid glue to the panel. The card was then completed with all the delicious cookies and candy canes.

AECP - Creative Watercolor Media Level 2

Hello friends. I'm sharing another card from the Creative Watercolor Media course with Jennifer Rzasa, Debby Hughes, and Lauren Bassen, as I work towards completing the Altenew Educator Certification Program.

In this course, you will learn how to use various types of inks and apply them as a watercolor medium effectively. The techniques and tips provided by these skilled artists will be put to use repeatedly, as they have greatly improved the process for me.

My card features the Fairy Tale Florals bundle and the Woven Stencil.

I started off with a panel of blue cardstock, positioned the woven stencil on top, and blended Silver Lake from Gentleman's Gray Crisp Dye Inks using a small blending brush.

Next, I stamped the floral image onto watercolor cardstock. I then dabbed some Summer Afternoon Fresh Dye ink onto my watercolor palette. I used a watercolor brush to apply a light color wash to the flower petals using the three lightest shades from the set. After it was dried, I decided to add a little Rouge from the Red Sunset Fresh Dye ink to add a little more depth.

While the petals were drying, I moved on to the leaves using Green Fields Fresh Dye ink with the two lightest shades. I continued applying color until I was happy with the results.

PRO TIP: If you're short on time, you could use a heat tool to speed up the drying process.

The sentiment was cut twice on gray cardstock for added dimension, while the shadow was cut on vellum. I attached them together with liquid glue and popped them up with foam tape for added dimension. I completed the card by adding Satin White Sequins.

Love You So Mush

Hi there, friends. Happy Wednesday!

My card today was inspired by an Instagram hop, the Fall Friends Card Hop. We are sharing 11 glorious weeks of fall inspired projects with weekly themes. Fall is my absolute favorite season because of the colorful foliage and sweater weather.

My card features the Mushroom Greetings from Altenew. The image was stamped, then colored with Copic markers. Then I used the matching die to cut it out.

I pulled out some mushroom pattern paper from Stampin' Up! and adhered it to a white A2 card base. First, a stitched circle was cut on vellum and adhered to the center of the panel, followed by the mushrooms on foam tape for additional dimension.

The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped with Versamark ink on white cardstock. It was heat embossed with black embossing powder and adhered with foam tape. I also added some black sequins to complete the card.

Happy Birthday. I Hope It's Magical.

Hi there friends! Today I am excited to be a guest designer for I Spy With My Little Eye after being chosen one of the Top Two winners for a recent challenge. Let's get to it then...

This month's challenge is I Spy With My Little Eye...Something Magical! My card features Ellie from The Paper Shelter.

I started by printing the image onto Neenah white cardstock #80. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut out the image using Heffy Doodles Square dies.

I added two additional panels, one blue and one orange, and then adhered them together with liquid glue. I then wrapped a string of orange/white striped twine around the panel and adhered it to a white card base measuring 5.5 x 5.5.

The sentiment was stamped in Hero Arts orange ink and then trimmed and adhered with foam tape. I finished the card off with orange sequins.

Wishing You Well

Hi there, friends! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

We are back with a new challenge at Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and, as you know, it's Anything Floral Goes! An optional mood board is available for inspiration. I can't wait to see your creations! Happy Crafting!

My card features the Ambridge Rose bundle from Altenew. After stamping the image onto a Neenah Solar White #110 panel, I used the coordinating stencil to color it using Atenew Fresh Dye inks. I then cut it out with the matching dies.

For the background, I applied a small amount of Silver Lake from the Gentleman's Gray Crisp Dye inks to the Altenew Narrow Brick Stencil, but only to the upper portion of the panel. I then adhered the leaves with liquid glue first, and then the floral with foam strips for dimension.

The sentiment is from an old retired Stampin' Up! set, which I stamped directly onto the panel using Versafine Onyx black. I completed the card with a few lime green sequins.
