AECP Impressive Heat Embossing

Hi there, friends! Today, I am sharing another card towards completion of the Level 2 Altenew Educator Certification Program, Impressive Heat Embossing with Svetlana Marchenko. I would never have considered heat embossing layers before, but WOW! Impressive is right. Svetlana offers many tips during this lesson, which I will share with you.

My card features the Beautiful Day Bundle. I used two floral layers and leaves to create this card.

I prepared a white cardstock panel with an anti-static tool and began stamping the images with Versamark ink. The first layer was heat embossed with black embossing powder, the second with silver embossing powder. I cut the images out using the coordinating dies.

PRO TIP: It's very important to use your anti-static tool when heat embossing layers.

Next, I took out a panel of light gray cardstock, positioned it on my Stampwheel to secure it, applied anti-static powder, and positioned the Narrow Brick Stencil. I used Versamark ink and pressed it into the stencil to cover the areas well. After removing the stencil, I then began to heat emboss it with silver embossing powder.

I cut the panel out with a frame die twice and adhered it together with liquid glue for dimension. I then applied foam tape to the images for dimension.

The sentiment was also heat embossed with black embossing powder and cut with a sentiment strip. The sentiment was then adhered with foam tape. The card was completed with black sequins.

Thank you for dropping in with me today. Have a fantastic day!
