Hello

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's a new month, which means we have a new challenge at Colorful Options. This month, we encourage you to be inspired by your favorite flag colors. It may be the flag of your state, a nation, or even your preferred sports team.

I chose the flag of my homeland, Ireland, with its beautiful orange and green colors, and I will be heading there on Thursday with my family for vacation. Can't wait!!

My card features the Friendship Leafy Cluster from Simon Says Stamp. To begin, I stamped the images onto a panel of Neenah Solar White 80#. I used the coordinating stencil and colored the leaves with Distress Oxides ink - Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Lucky Clover, and Twisted Citron.

I cut my panel using the PhotoPlay Nested Stitched Scallops die set. I adhered it to a foam sheet for dimension, which was then adhered to a white card base. The sentiment is from Paper Rose Studio Hello Die. I cut the word twice on white cardstock and blended the same inks mentioned above. The shadow was then cut on vellum and adhered to the panel with foam strips for dimension. The card was completed with sequins.

The Rabbit Hole Designs July 2024 Release Blog Hop

Hi Friends! I am thrilled to share two fun cards featuring products from the new release from The Rabbit Hole Designs. If you are a fan of stencils, then you are going to love this release!

For my first card, I used the Paisley Bandana Stencil, which is one of my personal favorites from this release. I really love the pattern. It includes two-layer 6x6 stencils. I chose to use my favorite color combination of teal and pink, but there are endless possibilities. I trimmed it and adhered it to a teal mat layer, then adhered it to a white A-2 size card base.

The Sentimentally Speaking Stamp Set is also a new released product, and it is accompanied with matching dies. The sentiment was stamped on black cardstock with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I completed the card with some clear and iridescent sequins.

For my next card, I used the Pinwheel Stencil. I achieved my background using a technique called stamping with a stencil. I inked up my stencil with different shades of purple, spritzed some water over the entire stencil, then flipped it over, placed it onto a watercolor panel and pressed down with a cloth. I removed my stencil and created a beautiful mixed-media background. I used You've Been Framed Die Set and adhered it to a purple A-2 size card base. The sentiment is from Sentimentally Speaking Stamp Set and Die Set. The card was completed with a few clear sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I had a lot of fun making these cards and I hope that they have inspired you.
